Just wanted to say hello to everyone in the 909. I just moved out here in June from Dallas and am currently living in Yucaipa. I love it here, being at the foot of Big Bear, however meeting people and making friends out here is really difficult in a town where everyone is either retired or in High School. =P
I'm very interested in meeting/hanging with people in the area, as LA is a bit far to drive to have all my friends in SoCal living there. =)

Mon, February 6, 2006 - 2:57 PMAnd a big Howdy to everyone in the 909 too from me. I just returned again to the Inland Empire, gotta love how that rolls of the tongue, Inland Empire. Anyway, relocating from the Bay area and would like to meet some tribesters out this way too. I have been down to the 2nd street mall in Pomona a few times these past few weeks, a few cool stores, antiques mostly, and a few clubs with live music. And on Third St there is a super cool Hip Hop store with alot of culture and a big table with upcoming events listed.
I found a nice Caribbean restaurant close to where I live and a middle eastern restaurant on Gary 1 block off of Foothill called Aladdin Jr. that is a superb hookah bar with fine food and the nicest staff I've been around in awhile. So far so good. I'll check back in soon. -

Thu, May 11, 2006 - 11:30 AMI'm with Orick Steve on Redlands as exploring territory! Its great and has a nice feel to it. Of course Pomona has really been turning itself around in its Downtown as well.
Hey.....how about we all meet at one of the local Farmers Markets and wander around. I've been to Riverside's Market Street which is now really crowded but I've not been to Redlands yet. I think even Pomona has a Farmers Market... -

Tue, May 16, 2006 - 12:18 PMThere is one here in Pomona on Saturday mornings from 8-11 or 12 i think. It's on Garey and Pearl street, right near my house. I haven't managed to wake up in time for it yet, but still want to try. =)

Fri, July 21, 2006 - 1:04 PMIIf you're looking for fresh produce or trinkets you'll find them at Redlands Market Night. I wouldn't suggest getting your hopes up for finding friendship at Redlands Market Night. The locals are kinda snobby and the ones who aren't are weirdo teenagers. Jazz and Java is a neat place to hang out... Usually some interesting people there.
Oh and DEFINITELY check out the Forest Falls area!! -

Fri, July 21, 2006 - 6:27 PMI can't say I agree about the snob factor in Redlands..I work in Redlands and have friends who live in Redlands, and I think it's rather kick-back and nice..The Vault is a really great little martini bar that is a pretty friendly place, and the Flamingo is a great little dive bar with a few pool tables... and GFE kicks ass for coffee shops, and there's a nice little music scene going on there too.. Plus the Redlands bowl has some nice free outdoor concerts going on during the summer. www.redlandsbowl.com/season_schedule.htm

Re: *waves hello*
Wed, June 14, 2006 - 10:44 PMHmm...Angel's Roadhouse seemed a LOT like a biker bar from the outside. There's a bit of music going on down at The White Rabbit in Yucaipa. In fact Jaime Salazar is playing there this Friday night, and it was pretty good show last time they played there.
